마음을 드리며- 내려 놓음의 신학, 혹은 가벼운 걸음으로 영원을 향하여 I Know nothing. I Possess nothing!

 I know nothing. I possess nothing!

For what is truly precious cannot be seen with the eyes -

only what the eyes can see lies open before us!

I long to be freed from a heart that is stolen, hesitant, and wavering.

I do not wish to lose time, wandering where wayward thoughts race away!

May the inner soul not die but live - 

to meet the Creator and dwell with Him forever.

Across the wide fields, even a single blade of grass bears seed and blooms!

In the sky, the full moon wanes toward the half, smiling down,

promising blessing with its gaze.

Life grows older, and we must all die once -

so let us set everything down and live unencumbered!

Within the life we are given, with the passion of each passing day,

I Simply want to live faithfully, giving my best.

There my be things we need when setting out on a journey,

but once the direction and purpose toward the eternal world are fixed - 

nothing more is needed. Only to let go.

The more the treasures we cherish accumulate,

the greater the danger of a stolen heart -

we cannot walk the long read ahead

burdened with heavy loads and faltering steps.

A person! A life! The inner self of the beloved soul -

must not be negligent in diligent study and righteous effort,

pursuing the wisdom and knowledge the soul seeks -

and must surely come to know, while still alive, before death comes.

The central image of the half-moon "smiling down with blessing" transforms cosmic indifference into intimate grace. The journey metaphor - where treasures become burdens - reframes spiritual detachment not as loss but as lightness. The poem closes with imperative urgency: one must know, while still alive.

It is a devotional poem in the truest sense: not a prayer recited, but a life surrendered.
